I'd already seen some positive reviews for this coffee maker elsewhere so I bought one intending to take it into my office. I did a test run at home first - and my wife immediately claimed it for the house. So, I had to order a second one for work! The biggest advantage of a thermal jug/maker is that your coffee is not continually heated - the jug will keep it warm for 2 to 3 hours. Since I make a pot first thing in the morning and drink it up till lunchtime - this is a great improvement. No more bitter, stewed, coffee - the last cup tastes as good as the first. Operation is very simple and there isn't really anything that can go wrong. The black/chrome look is also much more attractive than the normal glass pots - and much easier to keep clean. Note: Uses #4 filters.
