I bought this item sight unseen, and am very pleased at how well it works. It has a 'pebbled texture' surface that grips the rice, making it easy to remove from the cooker and put on the plates. It cleans easily, too. This is one of those little items that works so well in the kitchen. Buy it, you won't be sorry.
